U c, i was an upset girl after the 2007 Budget Speech came out.
Very upset.
Y u may ask.
The reason is simple.
Simpley because i couldnt get the GST credits.
The criteria written was:
"Up to $1,000 for all Singaporean aged 21 and above"
Unfortunately, i wont be 21 as yet.
:(

In class, I was flipping thru the budget speech notes, to the left, to the right..
Eyes to the notes while ears to the lecturer :)
N I went back home an upset girl.
I even told my mom, she should have given birth to me earlier!
yes, i was an upset girl...

This morning, i came to work an upset girl..
Staying back to prepare the tax planning and fact sheet after the corporate tax changes doesnt help either...yes, im still in office k!
but now i have finished my part, just waiting for the rest to finish theirs..
the story of an upset girl...

So as i was free (as u can see coz im typing this entry),
i went to read the straits times..not wanting to give up, i read up on the GST Credits again..
i was still an upset girl...
Just then, i went to http://www.gstoffset.gov.sg
Ges wat it says?

Who can receive GST Credits?
To receive GST Credits, you must:
Be a living Singapore citizen; DUH!
Be aged 21 or above in the year of payout;EHEM EHEM and
Sign up by 31 December of the year of payout.* SURE NO PROB!
*You only need to sign up once to receive your GST Credits for that year and subsequent years that you qualify. OK, UNDERSTOOD

That means me, the 20 year old girl, who will turn 21 in Oct, can receive the GST Credit!
P.S: see, "year of payout" is 2007 mahh...
yahooooooo...
as of now, im NO more an upset girl.
