I always knew that I had to back-up my hard disk on a regular basis but i'm just too l.a.z.y. Then, last Fri, I attended an Infocomm Security Awareness talk at work and afterwhich, straightaway msged Wanpee, "I wanna back up my hard disk tonite, let's go buy CD-RW". Hah. Even cancelled our movie plans! Y to the extend, you may ask. Well, other than the speaker illustrating his fren's real life incident of hard disk crashed, and losing all his wedding photos, which almost caused a divorce, tsk tsk, he also mentioned bout hackers, and how these ppl can hack into ur system and alter the figures while u are doing internet banking, and then the money which was supposed to be transferred to ur fren end up into their account! Scary stuff.
What's more horrifying is that my previous laptop: motherboard crashed.. and when u think I leant my lesson, well, I havnt backed up my hard disk since I bought this laptop, which was, err, 3 years back? :) AND AND, last time I checked, my laptop is already infected by Trojan. very the mampos rite? I noe! That's y i need to back up my files on an immediate basis and then let the *expert* aka Mister Wanpee to reformat my laptop and hopefully he'll install some nice programs for me too :) What's the use of having a Technical Assistant as a bf. hehehe.
On the other hand, we were chilling at Starbucks yesterday and I started flipping the papers, then I came across this Starhub fantastic offer for MaxOnline Express - at $44 (i think, it was $40 plus la..) and you get a free home line AND u can retain ur home number. How great a deal is that? Unfortunately, my maxonline is under 2 years contract, which ends June next year. So, I shall shut up and continue paying $50 plus plus till next year. Lerr. Boringg!
Ok, chiaoz ppl, need to back up my files now, Have you done urs?
:)
